Torque limiters in which the torque is transmitted through balls or rollers. The engagement torque is adjusted by acting on the pressure exerted by the springs.
When the engagement torque is reached, the movable part of the limiter, connected to the fixed part via balls or rollers, begins to rotate, causing the balls/rollers to escape from their seats. This generates an axial movement that triggers the release switch, instantly stopping the operation of the machine or system.
